Seeking after Him
25th May 2010
I was speaking at a youth retreat this weekend, and I was way out in the woods…. Like spiders and bugs and….. You know what I am talking about. If at first glance I would have made the decision I would have never gone… I looked and didn’t like what I saw. Woods, spiders, no AC, and all that… When I first took a look at what I thought was God I did not like either…. Lets Be Real you know… I saw ties, giving money away, and rules, and all those people who claimed to be following and there judgmental attitude of me an all I was and still am today.. But that was not seeing the forest for the trees thinking… After stepping into the woods this weekend what I found was love, a “want to” attitude exuded by the workers and the young people who were all on a journey…. A journey to grow and find a closer relationship w/ God… If I would have stopped on the outside and not took a closer look I would have missed the experience I was able to find this weekend… I’m just saying… You know… But don’t get me wrong I have stepped in places and they were exactly what they looked like from the outside… judgmental, hypocritical, and plain just unfriendly… But I would never trade the awesome experiences I have had to do away with the bad… But the problem here is what are you looking for… Seek after Him(Jesus) and you will never go wrong… If you seek after Him, not religion, not church, you will find Him… ( Psalm 24 )Seek the face of God, not anything else!!! Come experience God in a whole new way at the FLOOD June 27th….
What if….
19th May 2010
What if we could actually become the church???? What if we actually took what scripture says and put it into action….. A FLOOD of love, service, grace, and hope could ignite the families, the work place , the schools, and wherever it was taken…. Lets become a part of something that is bigger than ourselves….. Come on June 27th and hear what God can do if you allow Him!!! Come and experience God in a whole new way at FLOOD!!!!!
WOW!!!

13th May 2010
This Sunday at 6:00PM May 16th I’m gonna be discussing how the life that Christ has called us into is a totally freeing and shocking one…. Especially to the religious sort….. You see the most shocking thing imaginable in my opinion is the fact that we have a Christian Culture to begin with…. Jesus said He was making it so simple a child could understand it but we need a road map and a thesaurus to understand what some churches are saying and doing these days…. Come experience God in a whole new way this Sunday at 6:00PM at The FLOOD….. 2601 Rocky River Rd Charlotte… scotta.
Culture Shock
12th May 2010
Jesus was born into a world with all different types of gods and traditions, beliefs…. (Sound like anytime you know… today maybe). The way He lived and the system He taught was so radical, so revolutionary and so SHOCKING even that it scared the religious of His time to death. He taught that before you think of yourself to think of others. When you have all you need to make sure everyone else has…. When you see someone hurting no matter where they live no matter where they work no matter there race or life style help…. He was love incarnate. The kinda love that each and everyone of else truly search for to fill that void that hole that is in our hearts…. You know you look for something that is missing in you every time you lay your head down at night. The answer is love and that love is Jesus…. Come as you are and experience God in a whole new way…. “Culture Shock” at The FLOOD May 16th at 6:00PM….come early and be church around 5:00PM… United Wesleyan Church 2601 Rocky River Rd. Charlotte…
Who are we???
11th May 2010
The Flood is a new kind of worship experience… We exist to be a haven for the burned out and the one’s seeking…. We are the remnant of the traditional church that knows there is more to God than playing a couple of songs and standing up and sitting down and raising your hand at the right time!!! We believe that God wants us to spend time together laughing enjoying each others company and worshiping Him in a way that is relevant and meaningful. The FLOOD gets its name from the overwhelming grace and love God pours out onto each and everyone of us who follows Him…. And our hope is that through this worship experience that the people who don’t know Him will be drawn closer and the people who have been burned will be soothed by the FLOOD of love…. and the burned out will find rest!!!! Come experience the FLOOD, come experience God in a whole new way!!! We are located at 2601 Rocky River Rd. Charlotte NC 28213….. United Wesleyan Church…. Our next gathering is May 16th at 6:00PM…. We gather earlier for free food and fun around 5:00PM…..
